Not used it yet but we have put it up. The concept is ideal, so simple. Our first Rigidome was an XL in 1998 which served us well for years, but it became too small when we got three large dogs. Enter a Harewood in 2018, plus annexe. Lovely large tent but with two integral bedrooms and a sewn-in groundsheet it's bulky, heavy and can be difficult to erect in a wind. What we needed was something simpler where the bedrooms could be zipped on...which is exactly what we now have in the XXXL. The hub goes up in seconds, the bedrooms are zipped on (one, two or three as needed) and either doors or mesh screens fill the remaining panels. Bonus, the hub is identical in size to the Harewood's dome so the annexe fits as an alternative. The separate pieces are smaller and lighter to stow and move, including the aluminium poles which are a lot lighter than the Harewood's steel poles. So far, all good, hoping to try it out in September.
I’ve had the annex extension for a couple of years now which we only seem to use when we are introducing friends to camping for the first time so that they can have an area inside that they can walk around in comfortably without disturbing the main tent. It´s great to have that option though for longer holidays.
I think I could talk about this tent for a week and never have anything bad to say about it. Worth every penny we spent on it all them years ago, I can´t imagine camping in anything else.
